My internship at Golden Wolf

Roughly a week ago I finished a 3 month internship at Golden Wolf. They are a London based studio that does all the coolest things in the world - and I was lucky enough that they liked my work and let me go there for my internship! It was an amazing experience and I miss them a lot already. Who knows, maybe my adventure at Golden Wolf is not over, we could have just finished part 1. I got to work on a bunch of fun projects and I can share a few of them with you here:

The first thing I worked on was this ident for Disney XD:

I got to animate it and do most of the clean up and colouring and it was a blast.

One of the other projects I worked on was this trailer for the Vandroid graphic novel:

I will be sure to share more of the things I worked on if they turn up in the future.
I did a bit of sketching while I was in London, so I will also get those scanned and post them here in the coming weeks.

Tout en Haut du Monde

Another thing that has kept me busy was my 5 week internship at Nørlum. During these 5 weeks I got to animate on the beautiful feature Tout en Haut du Monde / Longway North. It was very fun to try a different workflow and I definitely learned a lot from the rest of the talented crew. You can watch this teaser to get a sense of the mood and style of the film:

Some sketches and a commercial

Here are some more summer sketches:

And here is a commercial I made in school before the summer. We had around 5 weeks to do a 30 second commercial in groups of 7-8 people. I was the director on our commercial. It was great fun directing - something I would love to try again. My team did a great job and I had a lot of fun working with them.
Check out my groups work: Lærke, Nynne, Maria, Simon, Steffen and Benjamin

The commercial was used at Roskilde Festival. It was cool to see your work playing on huge screens in front of hundreds of people.

Vikings

Here it is, a short stop motion animated film I made with my very good and talented friend Lærke during our spare time. We did it mostly to try something new, work together and have fun. And we succeeded in all of that! Now we just hope you will enjoy it too.
And who knows; maybe we will make a sequel?

The Reward

A year ago I helped some super cool guys and good friends of mine make their bachelor film The Reward. It's an amazing 9-minute long short film and you all owe yourself to go watch it! Once you've seen it come back here and I'll tell you the best news you've heard all day!

Back from watching it? Great.
Now if you were as excited about the film as I was and a lot of other people I know was here is the great news: The directors behind the film teamed up with their friend and director behind Under The Fold, and created Suncreature Studios! Right now they're in the middle of trying to crowdfund a series based on The Reward called "The Reward - Tales of Alethrion". They are doing it on kickstarter and I have already pledged all of my money(almost)! It would be so cool to see what these three extremely talented people can do with an opportunity such as this. Therefore I'm supporting them in every way I can.

Now, if you liked the short and wanna help Suncreature Studios, all the fans and me make this come true you can do so by sharing this link: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1862188728/the-reward-tales-of-alethrion  everywhere you can. If you are up for it maybe you can even put in a little something yourself, everything counts!

Thank you for helping, I'll give everyone who helps a high five, so you should definitely consider doing it!

Short, Short Film

For the last 4 weeks I've been busy with the Short, Short Film project at my school. We worked in small teams of 6-7 people mixed between the CA and the CGA class. My group consisted of  Karina, Pernille, Julie, Mathias, Lærke, Henning and me.
In the beginning we got 2 random elements that we had to use in our film - poison and jealousy. We also got 2 different styleguides that we had to mash-up and create a new version of. The styles we got in my group was Tim Biskup and 20th century rubberhose animation.
In the beginning everyone did a bit of everything, but as we moved on in the preproduction and production the diffferent roles in a team became more clear. I ended up being lead character designer, lead animator and co-editor/soundeditor.
It was really fun, and very educational! This is our result:

Character Design Week

It's been an intense week with the brilliant Julia Bracegirdle as our teacher. We did a lot of designs, a short film and a lot of other things. These are a few of my things:

And the short film:

Parashoot

Hey all!
It's been a bit since I posted last. I've been very busy in school the last few weeks - but some awesome things came out of it. I'll try to show you as much of it as possible! At school we mixed up with the film people, photographers and webbers to make and advertising company. Ours was called Parashoot.
Here are some of the things we did:
Jane and I made the homepage for the firm: http://jlangkilde.dk/hjemmeside.swf
I did a poster and a film for another company(the film will be up here later) :
I got the idea for this ad and helped edit it:

I think that will be it for now, but I'll scoop up some more of my Parashoot-work + I'll do some scans of my sketchbooks so you'll be able to see what I've been doing lately.

Antsy pants!

Wow!
I'm sitting in my mother's apartment drawing in my sketchbook and listening to this AMAZING music. I made a playlist of some Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros, Juno Soundtrack and Antsy Pants. And especially Antsy Pants' music is really joyful. You should check them out.
Today at school we had a short and fun day. We tried to put sounds into our animations in flash. It was great fun. I tried to put sounds on some of my walkcycles, but the program wouldn't let me. Fortunately I had made some new animations! But I have problems uploading them with sound.
So for now you will have to make do with this awesome movie Jane, Anne and I made the last week before easter. Cheers!

Crazy Day

Yeah so today's been a bit crazywild. I started of taking a new route to school. It was nice taking my bike in the sunny weather. Next off in school we did some video tutorials of AE (After Effects) from videocopilot.net. They were really great and very educational. I'll give you an example of what I did. I made this cool looking title for example:

And I took this still picture:

And turned it into this little bit of nice looking video:

This was serious fun. I enjoy it a lot even though it took me some time.

After school we went to TAW. Here we got to know whether or not we we're invited to the test and interview. And luckily I was! So I'm very happy about that at the moment.
Another piece of delicious news is that Frøken Frost is open for the season again! YAY! I got my first icecream with 6 scopes of ice today to celebrate me and my friends for getting invited to the test.
After that I went home to Lasse and Jane, and together with Simon we watched a movie and ate some pizza!
I've had an amazing day, and hope that goes for the rest of you too!

After Effects 2

Today we continued our lessons in Adobe After Effects. We took a video of a sunny and wavy beach and turned it in to a stormy and rainy storm. Take a look at my result:
I hope the video upload works this time!
(I might upload some of my croquis from the evening session later)

After Effects

So we're back at the media school after a couple of weeks of portfolio making, and now we're learning to use Adobe After Effects. We did a couple of excercises today, but unfortunately I only saved 1 of them. Here it is:
Yeah, I don't know how to embed the video so you're gonna have to make do with a link for now :)
